Constant Craving

Something I can't get out of my head these past few days:

Frozen yoghurt

This one's with chocolate mallows and walnuts from Lulu Belle at Powerplant. I'm still getting used to the tanginess of frozen yoghurt and try it with fresh fruits for a healthy snack for me and Baby.

I hope to get to taste the other brands soon!

Girl Power

Sunday lunch was spent with Maymay and Karen at Amici. Despite me accidentally leaving my cellphone at home and its consequences, we were able to meet up...for the late lunch. Sorry girls, I know nagutom kayo waiting for me hehe. Like you said, buti na lang buntis ako and di nyo ako maaway. :)

I always love eating at Amici. Good food at reasonable prices. When Ramil was still here, we would always eat there and I would always get my Chocolate with Nuts gelato. So yummy! :)

Last night was another Italian feast. This time at Pasto with HS barkada. I so love pizza and pasta. I can live on them everyday! And of course, it wouldn't be complete without dessert - Sienna cake (is it really cake?), another one of my favorites!

We all met up for dinner - sans Cla and Les - since MM just arrived for a 2-week vacation and we haven't seen her for I think around 2 years. She has changed a lot in the past year, not so much physically (pretty pa rin sya) but she has discovered more of herself and she has grown up a lot. Just want to say that we'll always support you and we will always be here for you! :)

Another busy busy week

The week went by like a blur with all the activities that went with it. We had super boss (Zone AOA Head - He heads Asia/Oceania/Africa region), accompanied by the regional controller and our regional manager, visit us. Of course we had to plan his itinerary - from the business review, trade visits, etc. And of course, let him taste good food!

Tuesday we took him to Abe at Serendra. It was my first time to actually eat there. (On my previous attempts we couldn't stand the waiting and the noisy crowd.) I loved the spicy adobo, lengua, and sinigang sa miso. The adobong pusit was good, too! Kare-kare was so-so and the ube should really be eaten with the macapuno. Otherwise, parang walang lasa. Wasn't asble to taste try the suman as we were soo full. I wasn't able to take photos as well since the bosses were there, hehe.

Day 2 lunch was at Crustacea, Powerplant. We just crossed the street from the office since the day was packed. As usual, the pomelo salad and the crabs were heavenly!

These are actually left-overs already!

We were still so full from the lunch so we pushed dinner til around 830pm already. We had buffet at Spiral at Sofitel Hotel. Definitely the best buffet in Manila! I'm trying to watch what I eat and cut down on meat and sweets (so I'll have a healthy pregnancy) but I just can't resist the Peking duck and the chocolate chip cookies!

Yes, I know that's a heap on my plate but I don't care - super yummy kasi! :) At least I have an excuse - buntis ako! :)

Day 3 was spent at EDSA Shangri-la for a convention where we were the major sponsor. I can't stand to eat at another buffet (Heat)) so I passed up on this one and excused myself. Instead, I took the field staff to Megamall for lunch. After lunch, my officemate and I went to the baby section of the department store. I ended up buying baby stuff! :) It's my first time to actually shop for Baby, I was excited. I bought some basic newborn white shirts and pants/shorts, mittens, booties, towels, onesies and frogsuit. They're so cute! I bought matching sets for Baby.

I also took a look at the cribs. It's cheaper to buy from US or even online plus they have limited styles. I already made a list of stuff that Ramil should get from the US and have it shipped here. I'm really excited preparing for Baby's arrival, even if it's still 4 months to go. :)

What I think I should buy soon are new sets of underwear and some maternity clothes. My tummy is getting bigger! And if I don't watch what I eat, tataba na ako. :(

I have called you and you are mine

Now the search for the perfect baby boy's name has begun. I want two names for Baby. Either the first name starts with an "M" and the second with an "R" OR the first name starts with "R" and the second name with "M". Anyhow, it's not that easy. At least now we know that Baby is a boy so that's 50% off the challenge already. But it's not easy! I used to like those Miguel, Raphael sort of names. For the obvious reasons, I'd rather choose something unique for Baby. But not so out-of-this-world name.

I thought of Maddox. Isn't it cute? Again, for the obvious reasons (magiging feeling Angelina Jolie daw ako) and with my sister's vehement "NOOOOO", I just can't use the name.

Any suggestions? :)

Faves

Baby's ultrasound photos top my list of fave photos for now. And when he arrives, I bet my camera and laptop will be full of Baby's fave photos. :)

A few weeks back, while browsing our wedding photos, I discovered these and they suddenly became my faves. :)

It's a Boy!

Just had the congenital scan this morning. It was supposed to be last Tuesday but when I got to the hospital delivery room, my name wasn't on the list! It was such as hassle! And I got sooo disappointed because I've really waited for that day to see my baby.

Anyway, I finally got to meet Baby this morning! When I woke up, I can already feel Baby moving so much in my tummy. He's probably as excited as I was for the scan. I was actually a little late for my 9am appointment because I stayed up late talking to Ramil on Skype. (I should start sleeping early as I've learned I'm sort of anemic!) I had the congenital scan alone since mom had a seminar and dad had to attend to work so he just drove me there. Good thing, Karen, my friend who's starting out as an OB resident dropped by. I surely hoped that Ramil was there with me. It's one of those moments that are best shared with the daddies! (Even the OB who did the scan asked where he was). Ramil would've been really excited to see his little junior's first photos and how likot he is inside my tummy.

Baby's first close-up. Looks like he got his daddy's nose and forehead. And is that my chin? :)

Baby's close-up. I can see he's matangos like his daddy! The OB pointed the scrotum and his thingy but I can't imagine it. Abstract pa, hehe.

Complete set of digits

Baby definitely looks like a baby now. It's all to real! :) And I'm so excited to give birth and meet him personally. But for now, we can already start shopping for baby stuff. Exciting! :)

Preggy and Missing Ramil

I know that I originally opened this blog so that I can update Ramil on the our wedding preps. And I know, too, that I wasn't able to post as much wedding stuff as I hoped I would. I mean, I didn't even post my Suppliers' Ratings! Not that people are actually reading this blog, hehehe.

Anyway, 5 months after our June wedding, I am posting this blog, "Preggy and Missing Ramil"...which just means that we are already expecting our very first baby and that Ramil has gone back to the US.

We are so excited to know if it's a baby boy talaga (Hehe, confident talaga that we're having a boy!) on Tuesday! I'll be having my second ultrasound. Actually, it's called a congenital scan to check everything there is needed to be checked on Baby. Now that's also making me scared. I hope and I pray that everything will be perfect - complete set of fingers, toes, etc. When I think about it, a baby boy or a baby girl is always a blessing just as long as it's a normal and healthy baby. And that's my #1 prayer.

Here's Baby's first photograph. Amazing how that small dot is already beating life.

Baby is the small dot attached near the top of the black sac.

On to the "Missing Ramil" part. He's been back to the US a little over a month now. At least he stayed and took care of me during the first trimester. I know it wasn't the perfect after wedding 3 months for him, with all my morning (and afternoon and evening) sickness, lechon paksiw cravings, my over-sensitivity (I can't stand the smell of peanuts he likes to munch on while watching TV), and my katamaran to fix myself hahaha ( I looked so wasted during this time!). I feel quite sorry that I wasn't able to take care of him as much as I would want to - cook for him and be the wife and mommy. :(

Now that I haven't seen him via Skype for I think a week now, I miss him terribly. So I just look at our photos - weddings and all. :) I've told him over and over that I think pinaglilihihan ko sya (if that's really true). And I am sure that Baby will look have his dimples and really look like him! :) I just love love looking at my asawa, hehehe.
