Northern Exposure

Thursday to Saturday was spent traveling up North for work. Went to Pampanga, Dagupan, Baguio with the Channel Sales group. Despite the long drives, intermittent sleeps, and scorching heat in Central Luzon, it was a great respite from the air-conditioned, cubicle-enclosed, coffee-drowned, no-sun-exposure office set-up. It was a road trip and definitely a food trip! So much yummy food! So now I'm starving myself thin to compensate for all the rice and meat I ate! (Ramil will be here in a few days, yey!!) Think about the famous Pampanga sisig, Calasiao puto & kutchinta, Dagupan bangus, Baguio's Don Henrico's pizza & Buffalo wings & Cafe by the Ruins organic delights! And of course, cans and cans of Coke Lite.

It was hours and hours spent in the car. Just think about all the chismis! Hahaha!

Pomeranian Baby

Isn't he cute?! :) And guess what his name is? Pomie. Hehe, how creative. I would love to have him as my baby. But not for Ph 90k! Mas mahal pa sa wedding gown ko!

That guy on the side really knows how to sales talk. Didn't stop until I carried Pomie. Para bonding kami ni Pomie at bilihin ko na. I wish!

Bacolod's Authentic Chicken Inasal

When I first went to Bacolod, I told my colleagues I have to try the "real" chicken inasal experience. So off we went to the manukan. Manukan is like a strip of chicken inasal carinderias. The place we went to was the more popular one, with pictures of celebrity customers posted on the walls.

The place had a lot of character - from the waitress who we couldn't understand, the server who we couldn't tell if we'll use "manang" or "manong", to the groovy owner, and the best menu:


The chicken and talaba were great. I just wasn't adventurous enough to try "tinae". Hehehe. How can you eat something called "tinae"? :) As the name implies, "tinae" is "isaw". :)

After dinner, we headed to Calea for the must-try desserts. Nahilo ako with the choices of cakes, cookies, brownies, etc! :) I love it!
