Red Carpet Moment

Things I'll Never Forget About Jen & Rommel's Wedding last Saturday in Baguio:

1. How Jen's dad cried when he came in from the hospital & saw her getting ready for the wedding, and how he cried when he gave Jen away to Rommel. I swear we were all crying!

2. Beautiful flowers.
3. Even more beautiful friends. Wish you were here Cla & MM!

4. Great food and drinks from cocktails (love that frozen strawberry margarita!) to dessert by Bizu (yumyum! Sayang di ako nakapag-uwi!)

5. Teaser & on-site video by The Jason Magbanua. I told him I'm a fan. :) Can't wait to see the on-site uploaded on his blog.

6. After party. Just stuck to boring, manang drinks (tequila rose & hot tea!) so I can watch people get drunk, hahaha!

7. Lots and lots of picture-taking! We just can't get enough of it! Buti na lang the "asawas" were there to be the designated photographers, hehe. (Yes, we ARE vain.)

8. The cold, biting weather. But I don't care, I want to savor my red carpet moment in my Randy Ortiz gown. :) Look bebe, no flabby arms. :)

Highest point

Ok, that last post isn't exactly what I would want to write on my supposedly "wedding" blogsite (even if this has already transformed into more than just a wedding blogspot), so here's something un-toxic...

My last week's highest point was when I had my first fitting. I was never prepared of the feeling I'd get just from fitting the lining. And it's just katcha lining pa lang ha! I thought I'd just try it on, then they'll pin parts of it, then all's done. I can go home. But no! Veluz & Niko really took the time to see and analyse what looks better and what will work well. I even tried on one of Niko's gowns! Elegant and sexy! I was so happy when we finally decided I'd get a 4-meter detachable train. Yey!!! (Napapanaginipan ko talaga 'to, hehe).

It just hit me suddenly - I'm a very-soon-to-be-bride and I'm getting married! Feel ko na talaga na ikakasal na ako, hehe. :)

So, there, all the stress (not wedding-related) went away. I went home really happy and so looking forward to my next fitting on Wednesday. This time, I'll fit the satin lining na. Which reminds me, I have to take pictures to document. (Veluz was asking why I'm not taking any pictures for documentation. I bet sanay sya sa w@wies, hehe). And of course, to wear nice panties. :)

Toxic!

I swear this day is the most "toxic" day of 2008, so far! Work has been unbelievable these past few weeks. I only get to comb my hair twice a day - in the morning before I go to work and before I go to sleep. Plus I don't even get the chance to retouch my lipstick! And considering how vain I can be, that IS something. Arrrgghhh. I hate it! I need work-life balance.

Wedding napkins

I got these from ebay during my US vacation. I was so excited when I got them! This also helped me conceptualize the unifying element for the wedding, since I don't exactly have a very specific theme.

Actually, the wedding has a "summer-y" theme, with our colors being orange, turquoise, lime representing the summer sunset at the beach. :) I would have wanted a Boracay wedding - with us being beach babies - but that would've turned me into a bridezilla with all the logistic challenges, hehe.
